A.P. Indian victorious in Decathalon Stakes
21 May 2016
A.P. Indian, who won multiple stakes races last season, returned to the races on May 14 and came away with the win in the 2016 running of the Decathalon Stakes at Monmouth Park. A.P. Indian first earned black type in the same race in 2015.
The gelding out of Ender's Sister had been off since last Fall with a minor injury. This was his first start of 2016. The race was roughly run. Along the backside, Delta Bluesman came over in to A.P. Indian, who was knocked in to Seeking the Sherif, forcing that one to check sharply and lose all chance. Delta Bluesman eventually finished first but was disqualified and placed last, elevating A.P. Indian to the win.
