Tetrad loses a close one in stakes debut
19 May 2015
Tetrad, three year old daughter of London Bid by Malibu Moon, finished a close second in her stakes debut on April 18. Sent postward as the fourth choice in a field of 7, she rated well off the pace through a half in 47.4 and steadily improved her position to draw close to the leader at the top of the stretch. From there, she ding-donged with Justalittlesmoke, the eventual winner, all the way to the wire. The leading pair were almost five lengths clear of the third place horse.
Tetrad earned $15,000 for her efforts and will next start somewhere in the midwest. She is both the first winner and the first stakes horse for her dam, London Bid. Eric Reed remains very optimistic about her long run potential, especially when she stretches out.
