First Foals of 2014 arrive at Golden Age Farm!

     The first foals have started to arrive in 2014.  During one of the coldest stretches of a very cold winter, four fillies hit the ground but at least they had the good manners to "pop" before midnight.  The first foal was a First Defence filly born on January 24 out of Classy Touch, a daughter of Flute who was purchased at the November sale.  On January 29, Zeenut foaled a big, leggy filly with lots of chrome and four long white socks.  The foal is by Divine Park.  Zeenut's mother, Royal Emblem is also in foal to Divine Park and is due shortly.  Is this Kentucky, or what?

     On February 3, Enders Sister foaled a nice looking Giants Causeway filly, ending her streak of five consecutive colts.  She still pins her ears whenever Richard approaches her stall which is becoming a foaling season tradition around the farm.  The following night saw the arrival of Sea Level Drive's first foal, a filly by Harlans Holiday.  With the small break in the weather, the four fillies are patrolling field 2 near the office.  Daisy and Clarence are not amused.
