Exothermic regains form at Keeneland

   Exothermic, the first foal of Irridescence (SAF) by Empire Maker, returned to form on Keeneland's closing day to score a decisive victory over second condition allowance foes.  The four year old colt settled and was shuffled back early in the race.  He encountered bumping and traffic up the backstretch as he move up in the field and made it to within several lengths of the lead entering the turn.  Continuing on, he finally reached the leader at the top of the lane before leveling off and drawing clear from a game runner-up, Braveman.

   The field completed the one mile journey on the grass in 1:37.58, but Exo was able to finish the final quarter i9n under 24 seconds.  His next start will be in stakes company, probably at Churchill toward the end of the meet.

   It is worth noting that Exothermic raced once again without Lasix.
